oh how we move

It's amazing how copious amounts of time will pass without seeing someone, and when you do it's absolutely beautiful. You are genuinely happy to have this moment with them and try to make every minute count. You immediately remember where you left off, and effortlessly pick up the time that has passed. Good people are hard to come by these days so when you find them don't let them go so easily. I know life happens, but making the effort is worth it.

Last night I ended up seeing some old faces from AKPsi... my "brothers". It's beautiful when friends and significant others start to transcend into taking the recognized role of a family member. But then again what is family? The definition of family is a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household. But what happens when that kid turns 18 and moves out?What happens when that kid starts living and rooming with friends and significant others? The people you begin surrounding yourself with starts to resemble family. Everyones expectations of family is different because every human being has undergone individual experience which has affected their perception on life. I think the synonym for family should be priority. Titles are good because they come with a guideline of responsibility and expectations, and could also be bad if not communicated clearly within both parties. I think family is an underlying promise to give unconditional love as best you can for the rest of your life. A promise to be supportive, a promise to always be there when things get tough, a promise to acknowledge priorities. The best part of this all, is that all of these things are innate and easily done with love... the kind of love that is everlasting.

I feel so blessed to have so much love in my life. I thank fate and personal choice for bringing the people I have in my life today. Regret nothing and make the best out of everything. Love always and forever.

CHICKEN PICCATA

-make a roux (equal parts of butter and flower)

tablespoon of each.... only ended up using half of it

-water

-1 lemon (for juice)

-2 tablespoons of capers

-wisk in the roux

-1 chicken

cut into thin strips, lightly flowered (with salt and pepper)

-sweet potatoes cut, seasoned, baked with yellow bell peppers and asparagus

I am officially done with my stay at San Diego State University. Five and half years later, I have finally graduated with a Bachelors in Integrated Marketing and Communications and a minor in Psychology. I am grateful for a wonderful college experience because it has allowed me to meet the most amazing people who have helped me grow into the person I am today and learn that life is a beautiful adventure. Living life in the moment allows you to take chances, embrace opportunities and make you appreciate what you have right now. This chapter in my life has come to an end and although i find myself facing nostalgia with my college years, my appreciation for the opportunity to have such an amazing experience prevails. I am extremely zealous to enter this new chapter in my life and I will continue to strive for best, rise above the act settling, work hard for my dreams and exert myself to the fullest in order to maintain simplicity and happiness. I am excited to see what life has in store for me and will welcome the journey with open arms. Cheers to the future!
